Gastritis
Gastritis is an inflammation irritation of the stomach lining. This disease can happen quickly or develop gradually over time. The causes of gastritis can include stress, excessive alcohol use, bile reflux, infections and some medications.
Upper endoscopy, blood tests and stool tests are all ways that doctors can diagnose gastritis. Gastritis can be relieved through the use of medications that reduce or neutralize the production of stomach acids.
Symptoms of Gastritis may include:
- Indigestion
- Abdominal pain
- Hiccups
- Vomiting
- Bloating
- Loss of appetite
- Black stools
