Gastroparesis
Gastroparesis affects the stomach muscles preventing your stomach from emptying itself of food properly. It is also referred to as delayed gastric emptying because food remains in your stomach longer than it should.
Problems associated with Gastroparesis can include your body not receiving enough nutrients, dehydration, bacterial growth in your stomach and it makes it harder for diabetics to control their blood sugar levels. A test can be performed to see if you have Gastroparesis.
Symptoms of Gastroparesis can include:
- Heartburn
- Abdominal Bloating
- Weight Loss
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Feeling full quickly
