Fecal Incontinence
Fecal Incontinence is the loss of control over bowel movements. This condition can be the result of a variety of causes such as injuries to the anus or spinal cord, neurologic injury from diabetes, tumors, or diarrhea when hard stool is lodged in the rectum. Fecal Incontinence can be a short-term condition or an ongoing one.
There are many different approaches to treating Fecal Incontinence, including physical therapy, medications, and, in some cases, surgery. Singaram Gastroenterology’s experienced staff will review your case to identify the cause and best treatment plan for you.
