Chronic Idiopathic Constipation
Chronic Idiopathic Constipation is a term used to describe regular constipation with fewer than three bowel movements a week. Approximately 15% of the population is affected by this condition and it is more prevalent in women and older individuals.
Idiopathic means that the cause of this condition is not known and cannot be identified through standard testing.
